I have always loved the outdoors, and aviation opened a completely new way of seeing it. Flying over the mountains changed the way I look at the world. The ridges, the open desert, and a calm sky. It all feels different when you are looking down from an aircraft. After my first flight, I knew this was something I wanted to be part of.

I have been working toward my private pilot license here in Southern Utah, and the journey has been something I really enjoy. The people I have met along the way have made it even better. Pilots, instructors, hangar owners, everyone has their own story and their own reason for being involved in aviation. Spending time around them has shown me how welcoming and genuine this community is. It made me want to be more involved and contribute in my own way.

As I spent more time at the airports, I started noticing aircraft that looked a little worn down. Not ignored, just aged. You can tell when an aircraft has been through years of flying and weather. I found myself wondering if the owners still had the time or ability to care for every part of their aircraft. Some people fly often. Some do not. Some are busy. Some are older. Every aircraft has a history, and every history deserves respect.

That thought stayed with me. I wanted to do something that helped the community I was becoming part of. I wanted to help preserve the aircraft that have carried people safely for years. I wanted to help keep them in good shape for many more years to come. That is how Dixie Sky Detailing started. Not as a business focused only on cleaning, but as a way to support the people who welcomed me into aviation.

For me, this work is steady and personal. I enjoy the quiet focus it takes. I enjoy knowing that I am helping someone take care of something important to them. I want owners to feel good when they walk up to their aircraft. I want pilots to feel confident when they fly. I want every aircraft I work on to be treated with the same care I would want for my own.

Dixie Sky Detailing is my way of giving back to the aviation community in Southern Utah. It keeps me connected to the people, the aircraft, and the sky that inspired me in the first place. I am here to help maintain the aircraft that make this place feel alive. One airplane at a time.
